Altercation Reported at Velana International Airport Taxi Queue

An altercation took place at the taxi queue of Velana International Airport late last night, Maldives Police Service has said. 

Police said they received a report of the incident at around 12:15am and attended the scene shortly afterwards. The individuals involved were brought before police, where officers conducted initial inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the altercation.

Following the inquiries, police said they advised all parties involved not to repeat such behaviour. No arrests were made due to the altercation. 

Authorities added that further investigations into the incident are ongoing.
