Ambulances Provided to 11 More Islands

The Health Ministry has expanded its ambulance provision to 11 additional islands signified in a ceremony held yesterday. 

At the ceremony held to mark the occasion, Health Ministry State Minister Ahmed Adhil stated that a total of 133 islands have received ambulance support thus far.

Minister Adhil stated that this is the most extensive deployment of ambulances to rural areas by a government to date. 

Furthermore, he stated that additional ambulances are scheduled to be dispatched later this month, further amplifying the reach of healthcare services.

The 11 islands benefiting from this latest initiative include HA. Muraidhoo, HA. Thakandhoo, N. Lhohi, N. Magoodhoo, R. Rasgetheemu, B. Goidhoo, K. Thulusdho, V. Felidhoo, L. Hithadhoo, and HA. Utheemu.

Collaborating with STO (State Trading Organization), the Health Ministry has procured these ambulances on a long-term payment basis.
