The Road Development Corporation (RDC) has informed that the tarring of Segments 8 and 9 of Ameenee Magu will begin as soon as weather conditions improve.

Originally scheduled to commence yesterday, the tarring of these segments of Ameenee Magu has been delayed due to adverse weather conditions. The RDC has, however, stated that all other works on the road have been successfully completed.

The Ameenee Magu modernization project, which commenced in August last year, has reached completion, and the ongoing focus is currently on Segments 8 and 9.

The RDC is now engaged in compacting the ABC layer on-site and conducting some underpinning work in the yard. The authorities said they are committed to finishing the 8th and 9th segments in time for the upcoming academic year.

Notably, all seven segments of the project have been paved and made accessible to the public within a week, following the installation of street lights, traffic signs, and markings.
