Applications Open for New Civil Service Commission Members as Terms Near End

The President’s Office has announced the opening of applications for new members of the Civil Service Commission Maldives (CSC), as the terms of three current members approach their conclusion.

Applications will be accepted until noon on Sunday, 20 July 2025. The President’s Office will receive applications on working days between 08:30 and noon until the deadline. Application forms can be downloaded from the President’s Office website.

To qualify, applicants must be Maldivian nationals aged 30 or above. They must not have been convicted of a Hadd offence under Islamic Shariah or any criminal offence in the past five years. Those currently holding elected positions under the Constitution or employed elsewhere are ineligible. Additionally, applicants are required to have a minimum of ten years’ management experience following the attainment of a first degree.

Members of the Civil Service Commission are appointed by the President, subject to parliamentary approval of the nominated candidates. Each appointment carries a five-year term.
