The Ministry of Higher Education, Labour, and Skills Development has unveiled fellowship opportunities in Japan, generously provided by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).
These offerings aim to foster international collaboration and exchange within the realms of post-doctoral research and short-term academic engagements.
For post-doctoral research, a standard fellowship programme is available, inviting outstanding researchers from around the world to engage in cooperative research endeavours with esteemed Japanese institutions, under the mentorship of experienced hosts.
Additionally, an invitational fellowship programme offers short-term opportunities for overseas researchers with notable research accomplishments to partake in various activities in Japan, including discussions, opinion exchanges, and lectures.
Applicants were advised by the Ministry to ensure that their selected courses are recognised by the Maldives Qualifications Authority. For fields requiring professional or licensing certifications, the ministry advised to verify that the certificates are endorsed by the pertinent professional bodies.
The deadline for applications is set for 1 pm (Maldives Time) on the 26th of April 2024. Interested parties are encouraged to apply online through JSPS
