Students selected for the programme will receive financial assistance to study at one of UWC’s 18 internationally recognised schools and educational programmes. They will complete the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, a two-year qualification equivalent to A-levels, which is endorsed by the Maldives Qualifications Authority (MQA) and recognised by universities around the world.

The deadline for applications is 15 December.

Since 2001, more than 65 Maldivian students have pursued their higher secondary education through the UWC scholarship programme, with many continuing to secure scholarships for their higher studies at leading universities worldwide.

At present, five Maldivian students are studying under the programme in universities across Germany, Canada, India, Hong Kong and South Africa.

Further details and application forms for the scholarship are available on the UWC website.
