Local non-governmental organisation (NGO) Advocating the Rights of Children (ARC) has provided aid packages to over 200 children and their families during this holy month of Ramadan.
The initiative, carried out in collaboration with the Bank of Maldives (BML), aims to support vulnerable households and ensure adequate food supplies during the fasting period.
This year marks the fifth consecutive year that ARC has delivered support during Ramadan. The aid packages reached 200 children and included essential food items such as rice, flour, lentils, powdered milk, canned vegetables, and other general supplies.
Beneficiaries of the programme include low-income families, single-parent households, and families with children with disabilities. ARC continues to play a key role in protecting and promoting the rights and well-being of children across the Maldives.
