The Bar Council of the Maldives, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), with the support of the European Union, is calling on the public to take part in a nationwide survey to support the development of a Pro Bono Clearing House aimed at improving access to justice across the country.

The needs assessment survey is a key component of efforts to establish a practical and effective legal assistance system that connects underserved individuals and communities with qualified legal professionals offering their services free of charge. By collecting insights from the public and legal practitioners, the survey will help shape the structure, services, and operations of the Pro Bono Clearing House.

The Bar Council has encouraged members of the public to contribute by sharing their experiences and perspectives through the survey. This feedback is considered vital in ensuring that the initiative is responsive to real needs and provides meaningful access to justice for those who cannot afford legal representation.

The survey is available online at: https://forms.office.com/r/rqFeUFqQsh.
