This decision comes ahead of the 2023 presidential elections in the Maldives and has generated considerable attention.
Isse, a prominent figure in the boating community, shared his motivations for aligning with the MDP and endorsing President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s candidacy in the upcoming elections.
A key factor in his decision, he stated, was the positive economic climate that the Maldives has experienced under President Solih’s leadership.
Isse emphasised that during the president’s tenure, the business community has thrived, attributing this success to a favorable business environment.
Moreover, Isse commended President Solih’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to his political endorsement, Isse disclosed his active involvement in the president’s campaign, particularly in the media sphere.
