Brightway International School students have achieved remarkable success at the global round of the World Scholars Cup (WSC), winning a total of 290 medals and 10 trophies.
This marks the school’s best result in the history of the tournament. A total of 68 Brightway students competed in the junior and senior sections of the WSC. In the junior division, 59 students participated, securing 215 medals, including 81 gold, 134 silver, and five trophies.
Eshaal Ibrahim Inaaz, a Grade 6 student, placed first in Junior Writing, highlighting the creativity and critical thinking on an international platform. Nine students from the junior team have qualified for the prestigious Tournament of Champions (TOC) at Yale University.
In the senior division, nine students competed and won 75 medals, comprising 50 gold, 25 silver, and five trophies. The senior team, including Maaz Mohamed Rasheed, Mohamed Laiq, and Abdullah Alsan, finished second in the Scholars Bowl and won the Team Challenge Trophy. Maaz Mohamed Rasheed also finished fifth in the global round. All three senior teams qualified for TOC 2025, with two teams winning silver medals and one team finishing fifth.
Brightway International School has sent twelve teams to compete in the Tournament of Champions at Yale University. The school hopes its talented students will perform strongly in the competition, which is scheduled to take place from 6 to 12 November.
