Car Collides with Solar Panels on Bridge Highway

Solar panels situated along the Male’-Hulhumale’ Highway faced damage as a result of an accident this morning around seven a.m.

According to the police, a taxi, traveling in one of the four lanes of the highway, lost control and collided with the solar panels.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
The collision transpired when the taxi driver reportedly fell asleep at the wheel.
It’s worth noting that the accident occurred while solar panels were in the process of being installed in the vicinity.
The ongoing installation of the 5.6 MW solar power system along the highway connecting Male’ and Hulhumale’ is being carried out by Ansis Co. Ltd., a company based in Thailand.
As of now, the project remains incomplete.
