Chief Judge of Civil Court Ahmed Nimal Junaid Passes Away

Chief Judge of the Civil Court, Ahmed Nimal Junaid, aged 36, has passed away due to chest pain and vomiting during emergency medical treatment.

Junaid, who held a Bachelor of Laws degree in Sharia, commenced his tenure as a Civil Court Judge in March 2022.

He assumed the interim responsibilities of Chief Justice of the Civil Court on August 22, 2022, following the retirement of Chief Justice Abdulla Ali, ultimately being officially appointed as the Chief Justice on May 9, 2023.

His funeral took place today at the Hulhumale Cemetery following the Duhr prayer.
