China–Maldives Training Programme Honours This Year’s Participants

A reception was held on Monday to honour participants of the China–Maldives Human Resource Training Programme, recognising the contribution of Maldivians who took part in the initiative this year.

A total of 287 Maldivians from a range of professional backgrounds participated in the programme. The group included members of parliament, journalists, and deputy ministers.
During the ceremony, the Chinese Ambassador, Kong Xianhua, highlighted that the programme provided training in areas such as economic development, health and education management, and sports. He added that several participants had been awarded scholarships to pursue higher education opportunities in China.
The Ambassador expressed confidence that the knowledge gained through the programme would support the Maldives’ future development.
Participants also shared their experiences in China and reflected on the benefits they had received from the training.
