The newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives, Kong Xianhua, paid a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdulla Khaleel today, following the formal presentation of his credentials to President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu at a ceremony held at the President’s Office.
During the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Dr. Khaleel congratulated Ambassador Kong on the occasion and expressed confidence that bilateral relations between the Maldives and China would continue to strengthen under his tenure.

Dr. Khaleel also extended his gratitude for China’s ongoing support to the Maldives, particularly in areas contributing to the country’s socio-economic development.
Ambassador Kong thanked the Minister for the warm welcome and reiterated his commitment to further deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership between the two nations.
