Chinese Prosecutorial Officials Visit Maldives to Strengthen Cooperation

A senior delegation from China’s Supreme People’s Procuratorate has arrived in the Maldives to enhance cooperation in the prosecutorial sector.
The Prosecutor General’s Office welcomes the high level procuratorate delegation from China, led by Mr. Shi Weizhong, Permanent Member of the Procuratorial Committee.

The delegation is led by Shi Weizhong, Permanent Member of China’s Procuratorial Committee of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, and is visiting on the invitation of Prosecutor General Abbas Shareef.
The Prosecutor General’s Office stated that the visit represents a significant step in strengthening cooperation, institutional development, and the exchange of prosecutorial expertise between the Maldives and China.
During the visit, the Chinese delegation will hold meetings with senior Maldivian officials, including Chief Justice Abdul Ghanee Mohamed, Prosecutor General Abbas Shareef, Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihsan, and Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen.
