The program aims to create community volunteer firefighters at the village level and increase the number of firefighters in rural areas. Thus, the objectives of the program include increasing community participation by teaching people how to quickly respond and act on potential fires, and expanding the role of trained volunteers who support the work of professional firefighters and emergency responders.

Firefighters from the MNDF Southern Area Command Fire Station are working as instructors for the program.

The program will teach participants how to identify what causes fires, fire fighting methods, and practical exercises on how to use fire-safety equipment effectively, according to the press release.
