Opportunities to submit complaints regarding forms submitted for flats and land plots under the “Ailee Boahiyavahikan” housing programme have been opened.

The Ministry of Housing, Land and Urban Development stated that applicants who submitted incomplete or incorrect information under the programme will be able to file complaints about their forms until 30 April.

The complaint submission tab is available in the main menu of the Boahiyavahikan Portal. The Ministry confirmed that applicants will be given only one opportunity to submit a complaint.

The deadline for submitting application forms for land plots and flats under the government’s first housing project has also been extended to 30 April. The previous deadline for land plot applications was 4 of this month, while the earlier deadline for flat applications was 17 of next month.

Under the Ailee Boahiyavahikan programme, 7,900 flats and 15,000 land plots measuring 1,250 square feet each are planned for distribution.

The government has decided to allocate 4,000 flats for Malé’s native residents, 1,500 flats for individuals living in Malé without local residency registration and 2,400 flats for special categories.

Mohamed Muizzu has stated that a total of 25,000 land plots will be issued from Rasmalé, which is currently undergoing reclamation work as part of long-term housing solutions. However, 15,000 land plots are expected to be issued in the first phase of the Rasmalé project.
