Completion of Several Projects Inaugurated in Dhaalu Atoll

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurated today the completion of several projects in Dh. Rinbudhoo, Dh. Bandidhoo, and Dh. Meedhoo.
These completed projects were inaugurated as part of President Solih’s ongoing visit to the atoll.

Projects in Dh. Rinbudhoo
Solih, today, marked the completion of a harbour upgrading project and a water and sewerage network on Rinbudhoo Island.

The harbour, constructed by Heavy Force Pvt. Ltd., included the construction of a 367-metre outer sea wall and an 82-metre revetment. Altec Maldives Pvt. Ltd. built the island’s water and sewerage networks. During the visit, the President also opened a jetty developed on the island by Sun Siyam Cares.
Projects in Dh. Meedhoo
Solih, today, inaugurated the completion of a water supply project, the FENAKA Office, and a powerhouse on Meedhoo Island in Dhaalu Atoll today.

The newly developed FENAKA powerhouse and office are strategically located away from residential areas and reported to have modern facilities. This initiative replaces the island’s old powerhouse, built in the centre of a residential neighbourhood 22 years ago, and is part of the administration’s commitment to addressing the challenges island residents face.
The water supply network, funded under a US$800 million line-of-credit agreement with the Maldivian.

Solih, today, inaugurated the completion of an outdoor gym, a volleyball court, the FENAKA office, and a new powerhouse on Bandidhoo Island in Dhaalu Atoll on Monday. The completion of these projects was inaugurated as part of President Solih’s ongoing visit to the atoll.
The newly developed FENAKA office on Bandidhoo Island is strategically located away from residential areas. It is a spacious and modern building that can accommodate 30 employees. The President also inaugurated the outdoor gym and volleyball court developed by the administration on the island.
