The project involves the development of a 30-bed, two-storey hospital, along with a one-storey service block and a two-storey accommodation block. The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company is undertaking the project, which is scheduled for completion within 600 days at a cost of USD 6.6 million.
Gadhdhoo, home to a population of about 2,700, currently receives healthcare services through the island’s health centre. The new hospital is expected to considerably strengthen the availability and quality of medical services.
