CPC and PNC Officials Meet to Strengthen Bilateral Party Ties

A delegation of senior officials from the Communist Party of China (CPC) met with senior representatives of the ruling People’s National Congress (PNC) to discuss strengthening ties between the two parties.

The meeting centred on the outcomes of the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and ways to further enhance state-to-state and party-to-party relations.

The Chinese delegation was led by Kang Shuai, Deputy Director General of the Information Research Center at the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, and Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Kong Xinhua.

The PNC was represented by its vice-presidents Adam Shareef Umar and Mohamed Nimal, along with senior parliamentary group leader Ibrahim Shujau.

The PNC described the meeting as highly productive, noting that such engagements would support the expansion of cooperation between the two parties.

The CPC delegation also visited the Parliament on Thursday, meeting with members of the People’s Majlis.
