The seizure took place on Saturday, the agency said.
This latest confiscation follows a previous interception of 1.2 kilograms of cannabis earlier in December. The operation comes ahead of amendments to the Drug Act, which are set to take effect next year and introduce the death penalty for drug trafficking.
Under the new legislation, trafficking more than 350 grams of cannabis, over 250 grams of diamorphine (heroin), or more than 100 grams of other Schedule 1 drugs carries a capital punishment sentence.
