Cylinder Explosion at Kulhudhuffushi Airport Leaves Four Injured

A cylinder exploded at the Kulhudhuffushi Airport today, resulting in injuries to four individuals. 

The incident occurred during routine operations when airport staff were engaged in refilling a cylinder intended for fire safety exercises.

According to local authorities, the explosion happened at approximately 11:13 am, today. 

Four individuals were promptly brought in for medical attention. The injured parties consist of three men and one woman, each sustaining varying degrees of injuries.

One of the men involved in the incident was admitted to the hospital with severe injuries, while the remaining three individuals suffered minor injuries. 

The explosion had not resulted in any disruptions to the airport’s services, and continued to maintaining operational efficiency and safety at the facility. 

Local authorities are investigating the incident to determine its underlying causes and ensure the safety of airport operations moving forward.
