Deadline Approaches for Enrolment in Kindergarten and Grade 1 in Public Schools

Ministry of Education has issued a reminder to parents regarding the enrolment deadline for students entering Lower Kindergarten (LKG), Upper Kindergarten (UKG), and Grade 1 for the 2025 school year.

The final date to complete enrolment is 15 November 2024.

With the current administration’s proposed changes to the academic calendar, the ongoing year will conclude in February 2025, with the next academic year starting on 6th April 2025. The first term will run until 28 July, after which students will have a break from 28 July to 7 August. The second term is scheduled to start on 10 August, with a midterm break from 21 to 25 September.

The second term is set to end on 25 December, with year-end holidays beginning on 28 December and extending through 22 January.
