Dhidhdhoo Land Reclamation Project  Reaches 70 Percent

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has completed 70 percent of the Dhidhdhoo, Haa Alifu Atoll, land reclamation project.

According to the company, the project is progressing as planned, with 78 hectares reclaimed to date, marking 70 percent overall completion.

The works are being carried out by the trailing suction hopper dredger LEIV EIRIKSSON, which has a capacity of 46,000 cubic metres.

MACL commenced the Dhidhdhoo land reclamation works on 5 January 2026.
