Dhiraagu has inaugurated its third data centre, and the first located in the atolls, in Noonu Atoll, Velidhoo, yesterday.
The ceremony was jointly officiated by Dhiraagu CEO & MD Ismail Rasheed and Velidhoo Island Council President Athif Hussain.
The new facility is a Tier III Ready Data Centre, and according to Dhiraagu, it reflects the company’s commitment to global standards of reliability, security, and operational excellence. The centre will allow businesses, including resorts and regional enterprises, to securely host and safeguard data closer to their operations. It is expected to improve the resilience and efficiency of cloud-based services, support business continuity, and provide greater convenience for customers across the atolls, Dhiraagu said.
Earlier this year, Dhiraagu inaugurated the Maldives’ first and only Tier IV Certified Data Centre in Hulhumalé, achieving the highest level of reliability and fault tolerance awarded by the Uptime Institute.
