Dhiraagu Marks 60 Years of Independenc with Nationwide Street Exhibitions

Dhiraagu celebrated the 60th anniversary of Maldivian independence with a series of nationwide street exhibitions, showcasing the country’s cultural heritage and national identity.
According to Dhiraagu, the theme of the exhibition was “Minivankan Mathee Abadhah,” meaning “Forever Independent,” and it took inspiration from Dhiraagu’s 2025 calendar created to commemorate six decades of independence. The displays featured a range of artwork reflecting national symbols, vibrant cultural expressions, and the country’s rich traditions.
The exhibitions took place in multiple locations across the country, with events held in Malé from 27–28 July, and in Hulhumalé, Gn. Fuvahmulah, Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi, L. Gan, Gdh. Thinadhoo, S. Hithadhoo, Adh. Dhangethi, and B. Eydhafushi from 26–27 July.

The initiative drew wide public interest and participation, reflecting strong community engagement in the milestone celebrations. Dhiraagu stated that the company remains committed to strengthening national pride and connecting communities through inclusive, meaningful initiatives across the country.
