Dhiraagu Tekkers Resort Cup 2025 Kicks Off Noonu Zone at Siyam World

The Dhiraagu Tekkers Resort Cup 2025 officially kicked off its Noonu Zone matches yesterday at Siyam World, launching a fresh chapter in one of the most anticipated sporting events on the Maldivian resort calendar.

Now in its fourth year, the Tekkers Resort Cup—sponsored by Dhiraagu—continues to grow in prestige and participation, offering a dynamic platform for resort staff across the country to showcase their sporting talent, foster camaraderie, and engage in spirited competition.

This year’s Noonu Zone opening ceremony featured a lively dance performance by the Siyam World cheer squad, setting the tone for the evening. Teams then entered the pitch to the sound of the FIFA anthem, followed by the Maldivian national anthem, marking a proud and official beginning to the regional tournament.

The opening match saw hosts Siyam World face off against defending Noonu Zone champions, Soneva Jani, in a closely contested fixture that ended in a draw. The excitement continued with a high-energy match between Sun Siyam Irufushi and 2023 Tekkers champions, Velaa Private Island.

The event was attended by resort staff, supporters, and key sponsors. Siyam World Resort Manager, Ausy Waseem, presided over the opening as Chief Guest.
