Diving Boat in Addu City Catches Fire, MNDF Responds

A diving boat docked outside the harbour of Feydhoo in Addu City has caught on fire, prompting a response from the Maldives National Defence Force to contain the blaze.
The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has responded to a fire on a diving boat docked ourisde the harbour in Addu City, Feydhoo.
MNDF said its South Area Command fire station had been mobilised to the scene after the fire was reported.

Authorities did not immediately provide further details about the vessel involved or whether there were any injuries.
A photograph shared by the MNDF showed a boat at a distance from the vessel from which the image was taken, with a thick plume of smoke rising into the air.
