The Department of Judicial Administration (DJA) has announced that criminal record clearance services will be made available through the e-Faas platform.
In a statement issued last Thursday, the DJA said the decision aims to simplify the process of obtaining criminal record clearance for the public. According to the authority, the new arrangement will take effect from this Thursday, allowing applications to be submitted via the DJA’s online portal using e-Faas.
The DJA further stated that from 1 June, it will no longer accept criminal record clearance applications submitted by private individuals using the current application form.
However, the authority confirmed that requests submitted by government institutions and companies will continue to be accepted under the existing procedures. These submissions must include the completed application form along with an official letter requesting the clearance.
