The Donate a Meal campaign has distributed more than 15,800 meal packs to migrant workers in Malé and surrounding areas this Ramadan.

Spearheaded by Mission for Migrant Workers Maldives (MMWM) and led this year by Women in Management (WIM) Maldives as the official Consultancy Partner, the campaign expanded its reach and impact. Corporate partners, volunteers, influencers, and members of the public joined forces to support migrant workers facing food insecurity during the holy month.

Over the 30 days of Ramadan, volunteers worked daily to prepare, pack, and deliver meals to workers who often endure long hours, limited access to proper food, and challenging living conditions, MMWM said.

According to MMWM,  a consultancy partner, WIM Maldives played a central role in shaping the campaign, coordinating stakeholders, mobilising volunteers, and raising awareness through communications and outreach.

“This initiative truly reflects what can be achieved when a community comes together with purpose. It’s not just about the meals—it’s about dignity, compassion, and making sure no one is left behind during a meaningful time like Ramadan,” a representative at WIM Maldives said.

The campaign was supported by corporate sponsors and individual donors, including Dhiraagu, FSM, STO and other contributors, in addition to anonymous donations as well.

MMWM expressed its gratitude to WIM Maldives for its leadership and to every donor, volunteer, and partner whose support made the campaign a success. Although Ramadan has concluded, both MMWM and WIM Maldives reaffirmed their commitment to advocating for migrant welfare and encouraged ongoing community support for future initiatives.
