ECM Announces Over 170 Temporary Jobs Ahead of 2026 Local Elections

The Elections Commission of Maldives (ECM) has announced 172 temporary positions for the upcoming Local Council and Women’s Development Committee elections scheduled for 4 April 2026.

The Commission has invited applications for a range of roles, including Assistant Master Trainer, Complaints Bureau Member, Complaints Bureau Manager, Senior Officer, Graphic Designer, Photographer, Officer, Maintenance Officer, Tax Officer, Assistant Logistics Officer, Office Assistant, Driver, and Security Officer. The total number of vacancies for each position is 1, 9, 1, 33, 1, 1, 104, 2, 6, 2, 2, 4, and 6, respectively.

These positions will be filled until the conclusion of the election, with employees receiving a salary, benefits, and additional overtime pay.

The upcoming election will see councillors and Women’s Committee members elected from a total of 226 constituencies.
