ECM Announces Polling Schedule for Overseas Voting for Election

The Elections Commission of Maldives (ECM) has released details regarding the polling schedule for the 2023 presidential election in five foreign countries where ballot boxes will be placed.

The ECM has specified the starting and ending times for polling in these overseas locations.
- In Trivandrum, London, and Colombo, the polling is scheduled to commence at 08:30 and conclude at 16:30.
- In Abu Dhabi, the voting will begin at 09:00 and end at 17:00.
- In Kuala Lumpur, the polling is set to start at 11:00 and conclude at 19:00.
The ECM has also published the official list of eligible voters for the upcoming presidential election. The list includes a total of 282,395 individuals who are qualified to participate in the electoral process. This list can be accessed through both the Government Gazette and the official ECM website.
For voters in search of information about their designated polling station and the corresponding area, the ECM has established a dedicated portal on their official website. An alternative method to acquire this information is by sending an SMS containing the message “VR [space] IDNO” to the number 1414.
