ECM Opens Window for Submitting Complaints to Political Parties Register

The Elections Commission of Maldives (ECM) has announced that the opportunity to submit complaints to the register of members of political parties is now open. 

The list will be open for complaints from January 23, 2025, to February 10, 2025, at 3:00 p.m.

Complaints can be submitted online via the ‘My Portal’ (my.elections.gov.mv) or the Complaints Portal (ppr.elections.gov.mv). Additionally, complaints can be submitted in person at the ECM headquarters.

When submitting a complaint, the ECM has stated that a copy of an expired official document verifying the complainant’s Maldivian citizenship, along with a clear photograph containing all the necessary information, should be included.

The ECM also revealed that the list of members, published on January 23, 2025, reflects the register of political parties as received by the Commission as of December 31, 2024, and aims to ensure its accuracy.
