ECM Opens Window for Voter List Complaints on Coming Parliamentary Elections

The Election Commission (EC) has announced the opening for citizens to raise concerns about the list of eligible voters for the upcoming parliamentary elections. Complaints about the voter list are accepted until the 21st of this month.
On regular working days, complaints can be lodged between 08:30 am and 03:00 pm, and from 09:00 am to 03:00 pm on public holidays. Additionally, Fridays will have a dedicated time slot from 03:00 pm to 05:00 pm for complaint submissions.
For residents in Male’, the designated location for filing complaints is the Election Center at Dharubaaruge. However, for those residing outside Male’, council offices in respective islands will be the designated venues for complaint submissions. Addu City and Fuvahmulah City residents can approach their council district offices, while Kulhudhuffushi City residents may submit their complaints to the Council office.
The parliamentary elections are scheduled for March 17th, 2024.
