The Islamic Ministry has moved the Eid prayer to 07:00 am, 30 minutes earlier, citing rising temperatures after sunrise as the reason for the change.
This adjustment aims to provide convenience, particularly to vulnerable groups such as children, women, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities who participate in these prayers. These gatherings often take place in expansive open fields, making attendees susceptible to overheating.
The Ministry’s statement referenced the practice of Prophet Muhammad, who conducted Eid prayers before the sun’s intensity became too harsh, typically around sunrise.
This alteration in timing reflects a consideration for the well-being and comfort of worshippers, aligning with traditions while addressing practical concerns.
