Elderly Man Dies Following Violent Assault in Maalhos

An elderly man from AA. Maalhos has died after sustaining serious injuries in a violent assault that occurred while he was sleeping at home.
The police have identified the deceased as 65-year-old Abdul Rahman Adam of Orchidmaage, AA. Maalhos. The incident was reported to the police at around 1:50am today, when he was taken to the local health centre with severe injuries.

Abdul Rahman succumbed to his injuries at dawn.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the circumstances surrounding the assault, and the motive remains unclear. A special investigation team has been deployed from Malé to Maalhos to carry out a detailed inquiry into the incident.
