Eligible Voters Have One Day to Raise Issues on Parliamentary Voter List

The Election Commission of Maldives (ECM) has announced that citizens have only one day remaining to voice their concerns regarding the list of eligible voters for the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The deadline for lodging complaints about the voter list is set for tomorrow at 15:00.

Complaints can be submitted on regular working days during the specified time frame of 08:30 am to 03:00 pm, and on public holidays from 09:00 am to 03:00 pm. Additionally, Fridays have been allocated a dedicated time slot from 03:00 pm to 05:00 pm for the submission of complaints.

Residents in Male’ are advised to file their complaints at the Election Center located at Dharubaaruge. For individuals residing outside Male’, the designated venues for complaint submissions are the council offices in their respective islands.

Residents of Addu City and Fuvahmulah City are directed to approach their council district offices, while those in Kulhudhuffushi City may submit their complaints to the Council office.

It is important to note that the parliamentary elections are scheduled to take place on March 17th, 2024. The Election Commission encourages all eligible citizens to utilise the remaining time to address any concerns they may have regarding the voter list.
