Family Court Reports 55 Cases of Divorce Last Month

The Marriage and Divorce Statistics for July 2023 for the Maldives were released by the Family Court of Maldives, presenting 281 marriages and 55 divorce cases.

The marriages documented in July 2023 demonstrate a significant rise of 281 compared to the 254 marriages reported in June 2023.

Conversely, the data also highlights a substantial drop in the number of divorces in July. The divorce count decreased sharply to 55, marking a notable reduction from the 79 divorces registered in the previous month of June 2023.
