Family Court Reports 79 Divorces Cases Last Month

Data published by the Family Court of Maldives for June 2023 shows 254 marriages and 79 cases of divorce in the Maldives. 

The number of marriages in June 2023, shows a notable increase from the 185 marriages reported in May 2023. This surge indicates a rise in the number of couples tying the knot during the specified period.

On the other hand, the data also revealed a considerable decline in the number of divorces in June. The figure for divorces plummeted to 79, a marked decrease from the 132 divorces recorded in the preceding month of May 2023.
