Fathimath Ashan Appointed New Managing Director of FSM

Fathimath Ashan has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Fuel Supplies Maldives (FSM), a subsidiary of the State Trading Organisation (STO), yesterday.

Ashan is the first woman to hold the position of Managing Director within the STO Group of Companies.

With a long career at STO, she previously served as the Head of Business Development, Human Resources, and Administration from 1994 to 2019.

From 2019 to 2020, Ashan also held the role of Deputy CEO at MIFCO, the state-run fisheries company.

She succeeds Ismail Suhail, who resigned from the role of FSM Managing Director on 26 November.
