Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) plans to start signing agreements with flat owners in three days, pending the completion of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC)’s investigation into the recipient list released by the former government.

In a brief video released on their social media platform, FDC stated that the agreements have been printed and signing is scheduled to begin three days after the resolution of issues concerning the permanent list of flat recipients. Further details will be provided by the corporation in due course.

The “Gedhoruveriya” scheme, introduced by the previous administration to address housing needs in the greater Male’ area by constructing 4,000 units of two-bedroom flats, had released a list of permanent recipients at the conclusion of their term.

Some individuals had already received agreements, while the former government pledged to construct additional flats for the remaining eligible recipients, estimated at 13,000.

However, the distribution of flats encountered a setback due to multiple complaints lodged with the ACC concerning the published list.
