State Minister at the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, Ali Faris Yoosuf, and FENAKA Corporation’s Deputy Managing Director, Mohamed Arif, signed the agreement.
The Vilufushi housing project was initially awarded to Noomadi Resorts and Residences Private Limited in 2011, but it failed to progress due to various challenges. In 2021, the project was transferred to Amin Construction Private Limited to complete unfinished works on 64 housing units already under construction and to build an additional 36 units. Although construction of the housing units has now been completed, utility connections have yet to be installed.
The contract awarded to FENAKA Corporation is valued at USD 895,537.14. The company has been given eight months to complete the project.
