The government is set to commence the distribution of fish can cases to households in the Male’ region today at 2:30 pm as part of an initiative aimed at providing every household in the Maldives with a fish can case for the month of Ramadan.
The Male’ City Council has announced that the distribution will occur daily, excluding Fridays, from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm and again from 8:30 pm to 11:00 pm.
Fish can cases will be available at the following locations:
- Thaisay Koshi, Public Services Section
- MIFCO head office grounds
- Hulhumale’ 1 (Umar Zahir Building)
- Hulhumale’ 2 (Ground Floor of Hiyaa Tower 10)
- Vilimale’ (City Council Office)
The distribution in Male’ is set to continue until the end of February.
Households wishing to collect the fish can cases must have paid their electricity bill. The council requests residents to bring both their electricity meter number and ID card when collecting the items.
The distribution is available exclusively to Maldivians. While the process began in the Male’ region today, distribution in other islands began last week.
