This week, ministry teams are scheduled to visit five islands—Thaa Hirilandhoo, Thaa Veymandoo, Lhaviyani Naifaru, Shaviyani Komandoo, and Haa Dhaalu Ihavandhoo. SDFC teams will be active on three of these islands: Hirilandhoo, Veymandoo, and Naifaru. The primary objective of the teams is to disseminate information to fishermen and local councils, as well as to offer assistance to boat owners interested in utilising the facility.

The government aims to provide loans to 100 boats for the installation of the RSW system. The ministry has also indicated plans to engage in discussions with fishermen and boat owners to further enhance the project.
