The Minister of Housing, Land, and Urban Development, Dr Ali Haidar Ahmed has revealed that the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will commence issuing registration documents to individuals on the permanent list for flats constructed by the Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation in Hulhumale’.
According to President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, recipients on the permanent list are anticipated to receive their registry within the next two weeks.
Minister Haider revealed that he has provided information to support the ongoing ACC investigation, emphasising that the issuance of flat registration documents is pending until the investigation concludes.
While the handover of flat documents is not currently underway, the minister assured that the land registry is being transferred.
The previous government had announced a Housing scheme, making 13,000 individuals eligible for flats on the permanent list. Initially, 4,000 flat recipients were identified, with three-room flats allocated to those scoring above 76 points and two-bedroom flats for those scoring above 73 points.
Minister Haider stated that the criteria would remain unchanged, and if there are no issues with the existing list, the first 4,000 recipients will receive their documents based on the same list.
After finalising the recipients of the flats under construction, 9,000 individuals remain on the permanent list.
