Participants received training on safe food production and preparation techniques, along with sessions on improving product quality. The programme also included familiarisation with existing food safety regulations and standards.
The Ufakaara programme was first launched in 2017 as part of a national effort to increase awareness and provide practical training for local food vendors and producers, with the aim of promoting safer and more consistent food handling practices across the country.
