Foreign National Injured in Early-Morning Stabbing in Malé

A foreign national was injured in a stabbing incident that occurred in Malé.
The incident took place in the early hours today, at 3:10am on Shaheed Kudanevi Thuthumaniku Hingun, near the Symphony Restaurant, according to police.
The victim, a 31-year-old Bangladeshi man, was taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), where he is currently undergoing surgery. Authorities have not disclosed the extent of his injuries.
Police have confirmed that the stabbing followed a clash involving a group of locals and a group of foreigners. However, the reason behind the altercation remains unknown, and no further information has been made public so far.
Investigations into the case are ongoing.
