Media reports have indicated that the questioning is linked to an investigation by the ACC into a compensation settlement that was made following a recommendation by the Economic Council.
The ACC has not publicly disclosed the specific case under investigation. However, as the matter relates to a compensation settlement, media reports say members of the settlement committee and the Economic Council, as well as cabinet ministers who were involved in the decision-making process, could be summoned by the commission for questioning as part of the inquiry.
