Gender Ministry Received 38 Cases of Gender Based Violence Last June

Statistics released by the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services reveal that the Ministry received and attended to a total of 38 cases of domestic violence in the month of June, which included 35 females and three males.

Comparatively, the month of May saw 47 cases of domestic violence.
In June, the most commonly reported form of domestic violence was physical violence / abuse, with 19 cases documented during the month.
Additionally, during june month, there were 15 cases of emotional abuse / verbal abuse, three cases of indimidating, one case of rape.
In June, the Gender Ministry attended to a total of 228 cases which involved violence against children, family issues, domestic violence… etc.
