German Ambassador Presents Letter of Credence to President Muizzu

The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Maldives, Dr Felix Neumann, presented his Letter of Credence to President Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Thursday at a ceremony held at the President’s Office.

Dr Neumann was escorted from Republic Square to the President’s Office in a traditional Haiykolhu cultural procession, accompanied by the Maldives National Defence Force Drum and Trumpet Band.

President Muizzu accepted the Letter of Credence and formally welcomed Dr Neumann as the new Ambassador of Germany to the Maldives.

Diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Germany were established on 5 July 1966.
